A stunning region in western Austria and northern Italy, famous for its majestic snow caped mountain ranges and overwhelming alpine landscapes, spectacular glaciers, rolling Alpine pastures, picturesque valleys, roaring rivers, and impressive waterfalls. Traveling northern Tyrol in Austria which share a border with Germany’s Alpine Road and the Romantic Road, and the Austrian Salzburg region, you will enjoy charming old and traditional towns and villages within beautiful green valleys, and highly popular vacation resorts. The region is heaven for both winter and summer active outdoor vacations, while offering rich cultural experiences, festivals and celebrations, and great local food.
Tyrol in winter is considered one of the leading areas in the world for slopes skiing, Alpine cross-country skiing, Alpine roller coasters, Tobogganing, and great indoor sports infrastructure. And in the evening, there is nothing like a wonderful SPA and a relaxing glass of wine on a porch facing the overwhelming landscapes, to make your day perfect.
In summer, the sunny days are great for hiking, cycling, rock climbing, and obviously swimming and water sports in one of the region Alpine lakes. For families and children, the Tyrol offers numerous great attractions such as adventure and water parks, theme playgrounds and much more. Try to synchronize your visit in Tyrol with one of the local magnificent festivals and celebrations such as the traditional Almabtrieb Cow Festival celebrating the return of the cow herds from the summer high Alpine pastures.
Traveling in Tyrol, you can start in Lake Constance and Lindau of Germany in the west, all the way to Kitzbuhel in the east, or the other way around. From Innsbruck continue on A12 northeast through the charming town of Hall to Lake Achensee, and from there to Kufstein and its impressive castle, and to luxurious Kitzbuhel and its overwhelming surrounding resorts.

When on route you will enjoy the beautiful valleys to the south such as the beautiful Stubai Valley and glacier south of Innsbruck, and the Otztal Valley with the village of Umhausen, the Stuiben Waterfalls, the James Bond Adventure World, and more.
Traveling east you will enjoy the highly popular Großglockner Road, the Hohe Tauern National Park, and the high Krimml waterfall, among other attractions on the way to Austrian Salzburg.
