• The Almabtrieb Cow festival

It is a traditional home coming celebration for the Cow herds coming back to the villages from the Summer high Alpine pastures, typical to Austrian Tyrol. The beautifully decorated cows are marching in September or October in more than 40 different routes into the Austrian Tyrol villages, where local food, music, and traditional dances, are waiting to celebrate their homecoming. Look for the specific dates and villages, such as Reith im Alpbachtal, Mayrhofen, and Ebbs among many others, where you will be able to enjoy this happy local festival.
