  • A beautifully preserved Medieval town on the river Inn in the northeastern parts of Tyrol, Austrian. Kufstein is the second largest town after Innsbruck, with a charming old town center, and typical Tyrolian picturesque narrow street home to numerous small shops, cafes, and restaurants. Admire the beautiful City Hall on Stadtplatz square, the baroque Saint Vitus Church originally from the 14th century, and the Medieval wall.
Stroll the long and beautiful promenade along the riverbank and explore the Kufstein Fortress. Take a 2 hour boat cruise on the river Inn sailing to the nearby villages, and ride the Kaiserlift, one seater chair lift, up to the mountain for beautiful scenery and for a starting point of great hiking trails.
Kufstein is easily access both by train and by car. The town is served by the main railway line connecting Innsbruck with Munich, Salzburg and Vienna, and by the regional trains. We would recommend a 1-2 days visit to Kufstein and the nearby village of Ebbs, exploring the town and its beautiful and interesting attractions.
