Traveling in Austria we recommend concentrating in one of three regions, Vienna the capital, Salzburg and its surroundings, and the Tyrol Region. When traveling one of the regions consider combining additional destinations and attractions from other regions to increase your joy and experiences. When traveling in the Salzburg area you can also travel the western parts of the Tyrol Region and or the southern parts of Germany’s Munich, the German Romantic Road and/or the German Alpine Road, and the same when traveling the Tyrol Region.
Flying into Vienna and spending few days in the city, consider driving or flying to either Salzburg or Innsbruck of the Tyrol to enjoy these beautiful nature rich regions. Another option would be to fly to the “nearby” Germany’ Munich to visit the beautiful city and its surroundings.
