  • A small town and a highly popular luxurious tourist destination, hanging on a rocky cliff on the east coast of Sicily.

    Visit the charming historic center with its beautiful Medieval buildings and attractions, stroll the narrow winding streets with the small handcrafts, boutiques, and antique shops, and relax in one of the small bars and restaurants.

    Continue to Piazza del Duomo, home to a magnificent Baroque fountain, and visit the 13th century Renaissance Cathedral, and the 15th century Palazzo Corvaja. In the palace you will enjoy a lovely courtyard and a museum of arts and popular traditions.

    To relax and enjoy nature, stroll the paths in the Giardini della Villa Comunale, the 19th century public gardens to enjoy the tropical plants, flower beds, the children’s playground, and the stunning views of the coastline and Mount Etna.

    For either a one day visit or a few days’ relaxation in one of the beautiful beach resorts, Taormina is a must place to visit.

    • Take 1-2 days (or more) trip to the Aeolian Islands to admire and enjoy the fascinating active volcano craters, great black sandy beaches, rocky coastline, mountains, and coastal hiking trails. Enjoy the breathtaking views and the great local cuisine and sweet dessert wines.
    • On the way north to the Aeolian Islands consider visiting the picturesque Savoca hilltop village known for being one of the filming locations of the 1972 ‘The Godfather’ trilogy by Francis Ford Coppola.
