  • A small Victorian tourist resort and town on the River Tummel on the southern outskirts of the Cairngorms National Park, 110 km north of Edinburgh.
    Pitlochry is considered a gateway to the highlands, and it is surrounded by mountains and hills attracting hikers and climbers. Other popular outdoor activities in the area are fishing and boating.

    Pitlochry is a nice small town with a range of small shops, cafes, restaurants, and numerous accommodation facilities.

    The town is home to the Summer Pitlochry Festival Theatre, the Winter Words Festival, the February literary festival, and the October Enchanted Forest sound and light show. Every Monday in the Summer the Vale of Atholl Pipe Band hosts a traditional evening of music, dancing and song.

    Spend at least 2 days enjoying the attractions in Pitlochry surroundings, in Aviemore, and in the Cairngorms National Park.
