  • From Fussen, continue north and then in an easterly route through the Pfaffenwinkel Region to Oberammergau, Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the Zugspitze Mountain, and all the way to Wallgau and Lake Chiemsee (350 km).

    On the way TheTjoy.com recommends enjoying the numerous towns, villages and attractions, including;

    • Visit Fussen for at least half a day and spend additional day visiting the fairytale castles of King Ludwig II, Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau, the Linderhof Palace, and the nearby Museum of the Bavarian Kings, on the Alpsee Lake.
    • Spend a minimum of another 1-2 days visiting the attractions along the road to Lake Chiemsee.
      In the Pfaffenwinkel Region you will find small traditional villages with numerous Baroque churches and monasteries. Visit the Wieskirche Church and continue through the historic town of Oberammergau.
    • Near Oberammergrau visit the impressive Benedictine Ettal Abbey, and detour southwest to visit the beautiful Linderhof Palace of King Ludwig II.
    • Continue to the charming town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen in the foot of the Zugspitze Mountain all the way to Wallgau and the Kesselberg Pass, considered a great experience for motorcyclists.
    • Continue through Benediktbeuern with its abbey, Bad Tolz, and Lenggries.
      Have a leisure stop for a coffee, restaurant, or a picnic in Rottach-Egern on the banks of the vibrant lake Tegernsee, and continue to Bayrischzell, then through the Sudenfeld pass and ski resort to Chiemsee Lake.
      On the way you will pass through the beautiful villages of Nussdorf am Inn and Neubeuern, Aschau im Chiemgau and Bernau am Chiemsee on the banks of the Chiemsee Lake.
    • From Bernau am Chiemsee drive further to Bernau – Felden from where you can sail to the famous King Ludwig II palace of Herrenchiemsee, and further north to the impressive Amerang Automobile Museum.
