A small 15 meters high picturesque waterfall with beautiful dome shape volcanic cliffs.
Swim in the waterfall pool, and walk the trail up to the small canyon feeding the fall to enjoy the magnificent view of the canyon and the valley.
The waterfall is easily accessible from the Ring Road, 2 km north of the village of Kirkjubæjarklaustur.
The Systrafoss and the Stjornarfoss Falls are usually not crowded, hence they are both great places to stop and rest on your way from or to Vik.
