• Margarites Village

A charming village known for its numerous pottery workshops, traced back to the 13th -17th centuries Venetian period, located on the slopes of the Psiloritis mountain range, 30 km southeast of Rethymno. Stroll the narrow winding streets and enjoy the unique houses’ architecture, the Venetian doorways, the enclosed courtyards and stone arches.
Enjoy the traditional cafes and taverns, and be sure to take back home items made for practical use or for decoration, some following Minoan designs and some are more modern.
