• Leeds Castle

The residence place of Medieval kings and queens built on a 1st century site 6 km east of Maidstone. The present castle dates mostly from the 19th century and it is one of the most visited historic buildings in Britain. The castle is built on islands in a lake formed by the River Len, east of the village of Leeds, and 67 km southeast of London.

In the castle, visit the state rooms with their current style, and other rooms presenting Medieval and Tudor periods. Visit the Gatehouse Exhibition of the 900 years history of the castle, and the Dog collar museum home to a unique collection of historic and fascinating dog collars.
