• Lamai Beach

Lamai Beach is a 4 km sandy beach stretch with calm water and good swimming conditions. The beach is located along Koh Samui’ southeast coast, south of Chaweng Beach, with tourists’ infrastructure, resorts and hotels, restaurants, bars and clubs and more, lining the beach road.
When compared to Chaweng Beach, Lamai Beach offers similar infrastructure with slightly more relaxed character, broader spacing, better value accommodation and dining, and a little more authentic local character.
The nightlife scene is less vibrant and more relaxed than Chaweng’s.
The beach gets quieter and less crowded when walking south or north from the central section.
The Grandmother and Grandfather Rocks which resemble male and female anatomy, Hin Ta and Hin Yai, are in the Beach’s southern end. The rock formations, which are famous photo opportunities, are surrounded by souvenir vendors, viewpoint platforms, and crowds of giggling tourists.
Lamai Beach attracts families, couples, budget travelers and those looking for a balance between developed facilities and more relaxed atmosphere.
