• Kaeng Krachan National Park

Kaeng Krachan National Park’s forested hills are along the Myanmar border 60 km west of Hua Hin. The park is an important wildlife sanctuary, protecting populations of Asian elephants, tigers, leopards, tapirs, gaur, and an extraordinary diversity of birds making it one of the best birdwatching destinations in Southeast Asia. The park’s centerpiece is the Kaeng Krachan Reservoir, a large artificial lake around which much of the park’s visitor infrastructure is organized. Enjoy Boat trips on the lake, jungle trekking with national park rangers, and wildlife drives on the forest roads.
The Pa La-u Falls, an 11-tiered waterfall, is highly popular, easily accessible by road, and great for families. Accommodation within and near the park ranges from national park bungalows to comfortable eco-lodges.
