The town’s main beach stretches for over 5 km along the Gulf of Thailand coast, and is a wide, relatively clean sandy beach with calm water, great for swimming in most of the year. The northern end of the beach, near the Centara Grand Hotel, is the most attractive and least developed stretch. The beach is lined with sunbed and umbrella rental services, seafood restaurants, and operators offering horse riding experience on the beach, a local tradition and a popular activity for families.
