• Bo Phut Beach, Fisherman’s Village

Bo Phut Beach is a 2 km sandy beach with calm water and somewhat tranquil atmosphere, along Samui north coast. The beach is home to the island’s most popular cultural attraction, the Fisherman’s Village with its magnificent houses and atmosphere, and the Friday Walking Street Market.
The beach offers quality restaurants which are better than most of Chaweng and Lamai restaurants. Accommodation available varies between small luxury hotels, beachfront villas, and stylish contemporary properties.
The Historic charm, upscale services and authentic atmosphere attract couples seeking romance, honeymooners, and travelers valuing authenticity, tranquility, and quality dining, over party and mass development atmosphere.

  • The Fisherman’s Village
The village runs along a single 400 meters long main street perpendicular to the Bophut Beach, lined with beautifully restored wooden Chinese shophouses painted in pastel colors. In the village’s houses beautiful boutique hotels, upscale restaurants, cafes, bars, and art galleries, resulting in Samui’s most charming destination. Admire the houses architectural details, the colored wooden shutters, ceramic tiles, Chinese characters, and magnificent interior courtyards.
  • Friday Walking Street Market
The market operates every Friday evening 5pm-11pm, than the Fisherman’s Village’s main street closes to vehicles and transforms into Samui’s premier walking street market. The market offers excellent handicrafts, handmade artwork, jewelry, clothing, and home décor. Food stalls which line the street serve Thai classic food dishes, alongside fusion and international dishes. Live music performances occur at multiple locations along the market. In general, the quality is high and prices are reasonable.
