Outside Toledo’s walls, it’s a 16th century Renaissance complex of buildings with few courtyards, a church, a well preserved pharmacy, and a fine art museum. The church has a magnificent marble facade and paintings and sculptures by Berruguete and El Greco. The museum, Museo Fundacion Duque de Lerma, exhibits 16th-18th centuries Italian paintings including paintings by El Greco, Ribera, Titian, Tintoretto, Canaletto, and Juan Carreño de Miranda among others.
