Railay Peninsula is heaven for outdoor activities fans with numerous opportunities

Rock Climbing
Railay Peninsula is one of the world’s premier rock climbing destinations with more than 600 bolted routes, offering limestone climbing in a tropical beach setting, reliable year-round conditions, and a vibrant climbing community.
The climbing season runs year-round, though November through April offers the driest, most reliable conditions with minimal rain and moderate temperatures. The main climbing areas in Railay are the famous Phra Nang Wall, Thaiwand Wall between Railay West and Tonsai, 123 Wall and Muay Thai Wall near Railay East, and Tonsai Wall and Tower.
There are several climbing schools in Railay offering courses, guidance and gear for rent.

Deep Water Soloing (DWS)
Railay pioneered deep water soloing (DWS) in Southeast Asia, involving climbing without ropes or harnesses on cliffs overhanging deep water, falling into the sea when continuing is no longer possible.
Several cliffs around Railay offer DWS routes, accessed by long-tail boat or kayak.

Sea Kayaking
Kayaking is highly popular in Railay, exploring sea caves, hidden lagoons, and secluded beaches. Guided kayak tours from Railay and Ao Nang explore Hong Island’s internal lagoon and the Ao Thalane mangrove forests north of Krabi, combining paddling, snorkeling, and beach visits.
Single and double Kayak rentals are available in Railay West and East Beaches.

Railay Viewpoint and Lagoon Hike
The adventurous 2-3 hours trail is dangerous, especially when wet. The trail begins near Diamond Cave on the path between Railay West and Railay East, offering challenging conditions, and magnificent settings and scenery.

Stand-Up Paddleboarding
An activity ideal in Railay’s calm waters, with boards available for rent on Railay West Beach.
