The great cave monastery founded in the 4th century is located in a large cave on a sheer cliff of the Mount Chelmos and the Vouraikos Canyon. The cave is near Zochlorou village 11 km northeast of Kalavryta. In the monastery a 17th century church with beautiful frescoes and mosaic floors. In the monastery museum an interesting collection of carved wooden crosses, antique manuscripts, and Holly Gospels.
