Take a relaxing cruise on one of the many lakes, enjoy the galleries and artists’ studios, and the unique museums and festivals in the lakes’ surrounding towns and villages.
At night have a drink on a terrace facing the lake and mountains and dine in one of many Michelins starred restaurants.

The lake District is easily accessed by car and by public transportation, train and busses.
Given the relatively small park area, we would recommend one central location in one of the lakes shores or in one of the marvelous valleys, to be the exit point for the park exploration and outdoor activities.

Touring and enjoying the lake district would take at least 2-3 days and much more depending on time spent for leisure and outdoor activities. For more information explore: www.visitcumbria.com.

You can combine your visit to the region with a visit north to Scotland or southeast to York and its nearby beautiful national parks.
