  • The Peloponnese has 1,500 km coastline with numerous beautiful sandy and pebbled beaches, some private and some public, some secluded and some part of a luxurious resort. To name all the beaches will be obviously impossible, hence we will name only the best ones and those in areas considered popular summer destinations. The leading beach areas are those around Nafplio in the east, the beaches near Pilos and the Bay of Navarino in the southwest, the beaches of Elafonissos and Monemvasia in the southeast, those around Stoupa, Gythio, and some more.
