  • The Phi Phi Islands, 30 km south of Ao Nang and 45 km east of Phuket,
    became famous with the year 2000 film “The Beach” starring Leonardo
    DiCaprio, filmed in the islands Maya Bay.
    The Phi Phi archipelago consists of two main islands. The inhabited
    Koh Phi Phi Don is home to Tonsai Village, the tourist center and resort
    including modern facilities and various accommodation options,
    restaurants, and great nightlife. The uninhabited Koh Phi Phi Leh part of
    the national marine park is home to Maya Bay, the stunning Pileh Bay lagoon,
    Viking Cave, and Monkey Beach.
