The biggest, most populated and most visited island in the Canary Archipelago.

Tenerife has it all, beautiful beaches, lively beach towns offering vibrant nightlife and culinary scene, a famous Volcano and nature and family attractions.

The Southern part of the island, especially in Playa de las Americas, is the more popular for young partying visitors and Puerto de La Cruz in the green, fertile northern tip is the favorite location of the older tourists and on families with children.

The major attractions in the island can be found in three regions;

Being not too big, it’s possible to explore the island by car while based in one location. On top of 5-7 leisure days in the beach, Thetjoy.com recommends a minimum of 2-3 one Day Trips to visit the main island attractions, in addition to a one-day trip to one of the smaller islands: La Palma, La Gomera or El Hierro.
