Most of the beaches close to the town of Zakynthos are sandy, offering all the required facilities, and are great for families. Among them we can find Drosia beach, 12 km north of town, Planos beach, 8 km north of town, and the nice and popular Tsilivi Resort which offers a nice water park with numerous attractions and water sport facilities in its Tsilivi beach. Also in this area the highly popular Argassi beach and resort, 5 km south of Zakynthos offering also water sports facilities.
