• York Museum Gardens

Botanic gardens in the heart of the city near the Railway Station. In the tranquil gardens 4,500 plant species, trees, shrubs, perennials and bulbs, wildlife, and birds. Also in the gardens historical features such as the ruins of St Mary’s and the Roman multangular tower.

The gardens are also home to the York octagonal Observatory, an Artist’s Sculptures Garden, and the Yorkshire Museum which houses collections related to biology, geology, archaeology, and astronomy. In the museum some of the finest historical artifacts in Europe, with the major exhibits include Roman mosaics and jewelry, Viking weapons and clothing, and much more.
