• Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon

Located southeast of the main island, Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon is an actively worshipped temple complex containing a towering central stupa, surrounded by rows of saffron-robed Buddha statues. Admire the large reclining Buddha draped in a saffron robe in a dedicated hall. The central stupa can be climbed via steep exterior steps to a terrace offering panoramic views across the surrounding countryside. Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon is less crowded than the main historical park temples, with monks and Thai pilgrims often present.
