• Wat Suan Dok

The “Temple of the Flower Garden” west of the Old City is famous for its garden of numerous small, whitewashed stupas creating a magnificent cemetery especially at sunset. The main temple’s hall is one of the largest in Chiang Mai, home to numerous Buddha statues. The temple hosts regular Monk Chat sessions where visitors can converse with English-practicing monks, an excellent introduction to Buddhist philosophy and monastic life. The temple is considered one of Chiang Mai’s most accessible temples for visitors seeking deeper engagement with northern Thai Buddhism.
