• Wat Phra Singh

Wat Phra Singh, among the most important temples in northern Thailand, was built in the 14th century in a classical Lanna architecture style. In the temple, the main assembly hall features a multi-tiered roof with curved eaves, beautifully carved and gilded gables, and magnificent carved wooden doors with glass mosaics. Admire the Phra Singh Buddha statue within the Lai Kham chapel which its interior walls are covered with murals depicting scenes from northern Thai life in striking details. Also in the temple, a Lanna-style stupa, meditation halls, and active monks’ quarters.
