• Wat Pho

Wat Pho, the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, is located just south of the Grand Palace. The oldest and largest temple complex in Bangkok was built in the 16th century
and is famous for its colossal, 46 meters long and 15 meters high, reclining gilded Buddha. The Wat Pho is a vast complex of courtyards, gardens, large assembly halls, more than 1,000 Buddha statues of every size and style, and more than 90 stupas. Also on the temple grounds the Wat Pho Thai Traditional Medical School considered the most prestigious institution for traditional Thai massage.
