• Veitshochheim Palace

The 17th century summer residence of the Würzburg’s Prince-Bishops and the Kings of Bavaria, 10 km northwest of Wurzburg. The palace is known for its Antonio Bossi stuccoworks, the sculptures by Johann Peter Wagner, and the richly decorated and furnished apartments.
But above all, it’s the magnificent 18th century Rococo Garden that makes the difference. Stroll the garden and enjoy the 300 sculptures, artificial lake, artificial ruins, water fountains and ponds, mysterious caves, and more. To reach the palace, drive a car, cycle, or take a boat from the Alter Kran in Wurzburg for a beautiful 40 minute sail.
