• Topkapi Palace

A palace complex in the Fatin district of Istanbul, today a large museum, and originally in the 15th and 16th centuries, the main residence and administrative headquarters of the Ottoman sultans. The complex consists of four main courtyards and many smaller buildings, with hundreds of rooms and chambers, where only the major ones are accessible.
In the 19th century Sultan Abdul mejid I decided to move the court to the newly built Dolmabahçe Palace. While visiting the Palace explore the Palace Kitchens with its Chinese, Japanese and European Porcelain, among the best Porcelain collections in the world. Visit the Imperial “Outer” Treasury, home to the Arms Collection including, Islamic Persian, and Ottoman weapons.
Enjoy the Imperial “Inner” Treasury, home to a vast collection of artworks, jewelry, and treasures belonging to the Ottoman dynasty. Also explore the Miniature and Portrait Gallery, the beautiful Neoclassical Ahmed III Library, the Privy Chamber, home to some of the most sacred relics of the Muslim world, the highly decorated and interesting Imperial Harem, and many other buildings.
