• Thung Teao Forest Natural Park Pools

Thung Teao Forest Natural Park protects pristine lowland rainforest home to magnificent natural water pools presenting mineral-rich underground springs water of astonishing clarity and color. It’s a highly popular destination, 50 km southeast of Krabi town.

  • The Emerald Pool
    Sa Morakot is a large natural pool, 25 meters in diameter, fed by hot water springs emerging from limestone aquifers deep underground. The pool’s clear, turquoise-emerald water is naturally heated to 25-30°C year-round, resulting in comfortable swimming conditions even during cooler months. The pool is surrounded by rainforest with massive trees, hanging vines, and the sounds of tropical birds and insects creating an immersive jungle atmosphere. The mineral-rich water silky feeling against the skin is remarkable while having therapeutic properties.

    The pool is suitable for all ages including children.
    Reach the Emerald Pool by a 1.4 km easy, mostly flat, walking trail from the park entrance. Walk through lowland rainforest and observe tropical birds, butterflies, and occasional lizards.
    Visit the pool in the early morning or late afternoon to avoid the crowds.minutes.
  • The Blue Pool
    The Crystal Pool, 8 meters in diameter, has intense sapphire blue water with higher mineral concentration, 300 meters from the Emerald Pool. The pool is surrounded by a wooden boardwalk allowing viewing and photography from all angles. Swimming is strictly prohibited to preserve the water clarity and color.   • KhongThomNuea Hot Springs
    KhongThomNuea is a natural hot spring cascade flowing down a limestone hillside through multiple tiers and pools, surrounded by a tropical forest.
    The stream is of therapeutic, mineral-rich 35°c-42°c flowing water.
    The hot spring pools are considered one of the best in the Krabi Province, 10 km east from the Emerald Pool and 50 km southeast of Krabi Town.
    The springs are accessed by car, and either a shuttle form the car park, or by a 500 meters beautiful trail through the forest.
    In the site, changing rooms, Toilets, and a food court. Swimsuits are required.
