The bay of Thong Nai Pan, in Koh Phangan’s remote northeast coast, is divided into two smaller “bays” each with a beautiful sandy beach. The northern beach of Thong Nai Pan Noi and the southern Thong Nai Pan Yai both considered two of the island’s most beautiful beaches with their clear water, surrounding jungle covered hills, and relative isolation due to the rough mountain road from Thong Sala leading to the bay. Another option to reach the beaches is by boat from Thong Sala or Haad Rin. Around the beach several upscale resorts and mid-range beach bungalows. The isolation and the difficult access results in limited tourist infrastructure and crowds.
