• The Royal Palace of Caserta

Reggia di Caserta, an 18th century Neoclassical Baroque Royal Palace, was built by the House of Bourbon in Caserta, 40 km north of Naples. The Palace was designed with the inspiration of the Palace of Versailles in Paris and it’s the largest royal palace in the world.

The palace has 5 floors, 1,200 rooms, state apartments, and monumental rooms decorated with frescoes.
Visit the Royal Apartments with their grand decorations, frescoes, furnishing and artifacts. Explore the gallery spread over 9 rooms with 16th – 19th century paintings, the royal chapel, the Palatin library and the Royal Theater.

Outside the palace there is an impressive and vast Baroque Garden, starting from the rear facade of the palace through a long canal with fountains. Enjoy water cascades and classical sculptures, a rich Botanical English Garden, ponds, streams, hills, and meadows.
