• The Palace of the Grand Masters

The palace of the Knights of Rhodes, the Kastello, is a magnificent  Medieval Gothic castle originally a 7th century Byzantine fortress. The fortress was converted in the early 14th century by the Knights of the Order of Saint John into the residence of the Grand Master and the administrative headquarters of the order. Today the castle with its magnificent Mosaic floors is home to a museum displaying the history of the island through a collection of ancient sculptures and numerous artifacts.
