• Soares dos Reis National Museum

The Museu Nacional Soares dos Reis within the 18th century Carrancas Palace, is home to a large collection of Portuguese art especially from the 19th and 20th centuries. Part of the collections are painting, sculpture, furniture, metalwork and ceramics, and a sculptures collection by the renowned Portuguese sculptor Antonio Soares dos Reis. Other Portuguese sculptors represented in the museum are Augusto Santo, Antonio Teixeira Lopes, Rodolfo Pinto do Couto and others.
Portugeuse painters presented include Domingos Sequeira, Vieira Portuense, Auguste Roquemont, Miguel Angelo Lupi, António Carvalho de Silva Porto, and many others.
Enjoy also other rooms part of the palace where 17th and 18th centuries paintings are on display along with collections of engravings, textile, ceramic, goldsmith’s art, jewellery, glassware and furniture.
