Vieux Port is the 6th century BC heart and soul of Marseille’s old town, offering easy access to the city’s main attractions, with a large marina home to numerous boats and luxury yachts, many restaurants along the northern Quai du Port and cafes along the southern Qua de Rive Neuve.
Explore the Phare de Sainte-Marie lighthouse, enjoy the Ferris wheel and visit the daily fish market on the Quai des Belges. On Saturday, enjoy the vibrant market offering local produce, flowers, and souvenirs. Take a boat tour from the port to the Calanques National Park, to the Frioul archipelago, to the famous Chateau d’If island, and to the Riou archipelago.
