• The Louvre Museum

The world’s greatest art museum and most visited in the world, located within a 12th century former royal palace and a fortress. The museum is home to more than 380,000 artworks and other objects from prehistory to the 21st century. More than 35,000 works are displayed including some of the best known works of art such as da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Botticelli’s Venus de Milo, and others. The museum collection is divided into several categories such as Egyptian Antiquities, Near Eastern Antiquities, Greek, Etruscan, and Roman Antiquities, Islamic Art, Sculptures, Decorative Arts, Paintings, Prints and Drawings.
