• The Cathedral of Syracuse

One of the most remarkable sites in town, in piazza del Duomo, built originally in the 7th century AD on the 5th century BC temple of Athena, and rebuilt on the 18th century. The most interesting artifacts in the Cathedral are a silver statue of St. Lucy by Rizzo, a ciborium by Vanvitelli, and a statue of the Madonna della Neve by Gagini.
