• The Castello di Brolio

The birthplace of the Chianti Classico is located on top of an isolated hill, 17 km south of Radda on the SP2. The impressive castle was reconstructed in the 19th century in a new Gothic style, with Renaissance style gardens. The breathtaking landscape from the castle covers the Chianti region and in a clear day you can see Siena in the distance. Inside the castle visit the Chapel of San Jacopo, the crypt with the family tombs, and a small museum housing the Ricasoli collection. The Barone Ricasoli vineyard, part of the Brolio Castle lands, is 900 years old, one of the oldest vineyards in Italy. The castle is surrounded by valleys and wooded hills and 2 million square meters of vineyards and Olive groves. You can choose from a variety of tours including an active vineyard trekking experience, tour of the cellars and winery, a sunset tasting, a private wine tasting and lunch inside the castle, and a picnic that takes you to three scenic spots.
