• The Calouste Gulbenkian Museum

Museu Calouste Gulbenkian is home to one of the worlds most important and renowned private art collections, collected and owned by the late Calouste Gulbenkian, a former Armenian oil tycoon. The museum is within an impressive building surrounded by beautiful gardens in Av. Berna in the northern part of Lisbon.
The impressive and diverse collection of more than 6,000 items, of which 1,000 items are on display, include Ancient Egyptian and Islamic and Persian artworks, classic Greco-Roman art antiquity, Chinese porcelain, 11th – 20th centuries European arts, and more. Enjoy 18th century French decorative art including jewellery and Glass works by Rene Lalique, furniture items, Renaissance paintings, and works by world renowned masters. Paintings on display are by Rembrandt, Monet, Rubens, Manet, Renoir, Degas, Turner, Van Dyck, and many more.
