• The Asam Church

The Asamkirche church of St. John Nepomuk is an 18th century small Baroque church in Munich, built by the Asam brothers, a sculptor and a painter, as their private church.
The amazingly decorated church is considered one of the most important Late Baroque buildings of southern Germany. The church is divided vertically into three sections, with increased brightness from the bottom upwards. The interior is completely covered with Stucco works, allegorical paintings, sculptures and angels, mosaics and gilded decorations. Admire the beautiful ceiling fresco the “Life of Saint Nepomuk” by Cosmas Asam.
