• Teide National Park

The third highest volcano in the world, 3,718 meters high, Pico del Teide towers above the small island. Start at El Portillo Visitor Center, ride the cable car up almost to the peak of the mountain, view the crater from above, and tour the spectacular crater floor with its 19 km lunar landscape.

Remember to book the cable car ride in advance.

There are many volcano hikes in the park such as Montana Blanca trail, Roques de Garcia and the Dogollada de Guajara.
