Swansea Bay has an 8 km stretch of coastline, with sandy beaches, promenade, children’s lido, leisure pool, marina and maritime quarter. The 8 km promenade from the Marina to Mumbles offers great views across Swansea Bay. The seaside village of Mumbles, at the western edge of the bay, has a Victorian pier, small shops and boutiques, restaurants, and cafes.

The area has great scenery of limestone ridge networked with beautiful trails leading to secluded beaches. In the south coast of Gower Peninsula, beaches and coastal woodland, and an overwhelming path for hikers and cyclists stretching from Mumbles Head across the cliff tops, to Rhossili.
