• National Palace of Sintra

Palacio de Sintra also called the Town Palace was founded in the 12th century and served as a royal residence during the 15th through to the 19th centuries period.
The palace’ twin 33 metres high chimneys are the symbol of Sintra, and its interior is decorated with a collection of Mudejar coloured glazed tiles, Azulejos, considered the most important in the world. While visiting the palace enjoy the blend of various decoration styles mainly from the 15th and early 16th centuries including tiles panelling, painted ceilings, patterned tiled floor and wooden ceiling in the palace chapel, and period furniture.
