• Sai Yok National Park

Sai Yok National Park has a forested limestone mountain terrain home to the picturesque and small Sai Yok Noi Waterfall, and the larger Sai Yok Yai Waterfall. The park is home to the world’s smallest known mammal, Kitti’s Hog-nosed Bat, wild elephants, gaur, leopards, and an extraordinary diversity of birds. The park is 100 km northwest of Kanchanaburi town along the Kwai Noi River valley. The River section of the park is navigable by bamboo raft or long-tail boat, offering a scenic and relaxed way to explore the river valley. The Death Railway runs through the park along the river cliff face, and the train journey through this section is among the most dramatic in Thailand.
