• Red Tower (Kizilkule)

A beautiful 13th century, 30 meters high, octagonal defense tower, with a central cistern for water storage. The tower, in the harbor below the castle, is the last of the Castle’s 83 towers protecting the Tersane (dockyard).
On the first floor visit the small ethnographic museum displaying tools and hand crafts of the Turkmen culture. Climb to the tower’s roof for great scenery of the peninsula, the city and the mountains.
