• Prasat Muang Singh Historical Park

Prasat Muang Singh, City of Lions, is a significant Khmer archaeological site built in the 12th-13th centuries as part of the network of religious and administrative centers that extended from Angkor Wat in Cambodia across Southeast Asia. The principal temple complex, a laterite sanctuary with carved sandstone lintels depicting Hindu and Buddhist imagery, stands within an earthwork enclosure that once defined a significant urban center. The site is 43 km west of Kanchanaburi town beside the Kwai Noi River. The site is well maintained and less visited than other Khmer sites, resulting in a peaceful and atmospheric experience.
