Lisbon’s central square built in the 18th century and surrounded with impressive governmental buildings, hotels and restaurants, and the statue of king Jose I riding a horse in its center. The Augusta St. Arch connects the magnificent square to one of the city’s major shopping streets and to central Lisbon. Enjoy a great view of the city from the top of the arch. The southern part of the square is on the river offering a nice stroll along its bank.
