The central crossroads of Rome, including the major streets of Via del Corso, and Via dei Fori Imperiali, which starts here and leads to the Roman Forum and the Colosseum. In the piazza, Italy’s Tomb of the Unknown, part of the Monument to Vittorio Emanuele II, first king of Italy. Above the square rises the Capitoline Hill, the starting point for a visit of all the major architectures and Ruins of the Roman empire.
