The town of Patong is Phuket’s tourism capital, where the island’s highest concentration of tourist’s infrastructure and services, including entertainment and nightlife activities.
Patong beach, 15 km west of Phuket Town, is Phuket’s busiest and most developed beach, a nightlife center, and where all the required services and facilities are.
The 3 km beautiful crescent sandy bay with clear turquoise water offers safe swimming, water sports activities, restaurants and beach bars. The beach width provides enough space despite the crowds.
The Beach Road, Thaweewong Road, run parallel to the beach, and it is considered Patong’s commercial hub, with numerous hotels, restaurants, massage shops, travel agencies, minimarkets, clothing stores, souvenir shops, and tour operators.
The southern end of the road is slightly quieter, and the northern end blends into rocky coastline. Jungceylon Shopping Mall in the southern part of the road serves as Patong’s main shopping destination.
Bangla Road, a pedestrian zone perpendicular to the beach, is Patong’s entertainment and nightlife district, home to numerous restaurants, bars, nightclubs, and adult entertainment venues, with fascinating and overwhelming atmosphere. The road environment feels safe if morally ambiguous. Beyond Bangla, Patong’s District nightlife extends through dozens of side streets.
