Paros’ capital and the major port in the west coast, presenting a beautiful old town with a maze of narrow streets and whitewashed houses with Blue colored doors and shutters. Explore the impressive neoclassical mansions and enjoy the numerous small shops, restaurants and cafes. There are two nice beaches in town, Livadia Beach close to the center and the southern Parasporos Beach.
When in town visit the impressive 6th century Byzantine church Panagia Ekatontapyliani with its 4th century baptistery and Byzantine Museum, the small Paros Archaeological Museum with its collection of ancient findings from the island, and the Windmill in the port. Walk uphill to the remains of the 13th century Venetian Frankish Castle and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the town and sea.
